About Diamonds: The Four C's
Colour
“White” Diamonds are graded for colour on a scale of "D" or colourless, to “L” (tinted white, with yellow, brown or grey tints).

Fancy coloured diamonds tend to be graded by their own grading systems (i.e. pink and brown colours) or purely by description of the colour, intensity and presence of secondary hues. The significance of a diamond's colour on the stone's price is an important factor to consider.
