If you've lived in Perth for any decent length of time, then you'll have almost certainly heard of Ian J Browne Jeweller from their ongoing regular advertising and market reputation as one of Perth's top Jewellers.

What you may not know is that Ian J Browne Jewellers has ceased trading, and in their place Lyndon Browne (Ian's youngest son and 10 year veteran director at Ian J Browne Jewellers) has now opened up Diamond Tree Jewellers to continue offering the same high quality of product and service to the WA market.

Here's what Lyndon says about the closure of Ian J Browne and the opening of Diamond Tree:

After 10 years of being a director at Ian J Browne Jewellers, I realised that while customers valued the service, honesty and quality of our Jewellery company, they also paid a premium to purchase from our prestigious Hay Street bricks & mortar store.

The overheads of operating a store like Ian J Browne's (rent, staff, shop fitout, etc.) all added significantly to the price of ALL the jewellery we sold there.

Once we (the Browne family) closed the business, I wanted to continue to provide new (and old) customers with a similar high quality of service and product, but I felt there was a better way to do this, by NOT going down the path of a fancy expensive retail store with lots of staff and high overheads.

Hence, Diamond Tree Jewellers was born.

The idea was simple: Operate from a city office (the Carillon City Office Tower in Murray Street), but with much lower overheads, and rely on my website and other forms of marketing to bring customers direct to me.

This way, I can provide the same quality of service and product as you expected from Ian J Browne's retail store, but with much more competitive prices, due to my lower operating expenses.

Customers deal directly with me rather than sales people, so there is no chance of mistakes, and misunderstandings that seem far too common in many large jewellery stores.

 All past clients of Ian J Browne can still get their free jewellery clean and polish from Diamond Tree, and Lyndon is more than happy to assist you with your current jewellery needs, including repairs, valuations and custom design of new exciting jewellery pieces.
