Frequently Asked Questions
Why do some items not have prices?
If an item is listed as POA it because, either I am not currently carrying it in stock or that the price is subject to constant change due to market influences. Many items such as coloured stones pieces could be done at a variety of prices depending on the quality of the coloured stone.
Are your diamonds conflict or blood diamonds?
No. All my suppliers warrant that their stock is obtained from legal sources.
How long does it take to make or supply my jewellery?
Delivery times for most items is three weeks. Items which require longer are marked accordingly. If you require an item faster than the stated time, please contact me as it may be available sooner. If I can get it done in your required time I will. I will not make promises I can not keep.
Are your coloured stones or diamonds treated/altered by man?
All known treatments of stones are fully disclosed. I also disclose “traditional” treatments such as oiling of natural emeralds, and heat treatment of sapphire and ruby among others. In some cases it is not possible to know for sure whether a stone has been treated but if it is typical to treat that species of gem then I assume it has been treated.
Does jewellery come with a valuation?
Yes. All gem set jewellery comes with a valuation from me. I am a registered valuer with the National Council Jewellery Valuers.
Do I need to view the diamond or I want to purchase?
Some people are happy to buy certified diamonds sight unseen. Other people will want to see the stone. I recommend you take the time to arrange an appointment to see the stone particularly if you are buying a fancy cut or fancy colour diamonds.
Do you offer Loose Diamonds for sale?
Due to the strong business relationships I have with several diamond merchants I am able to provide stock lists which offer a large range of shapes, weights, colours, clarities all with Australian or International diamond certification. Diamond Search will take you to the database to start searching.
Do you manufacture jewellery?
Whilst I have a range of patterns on display, I can also organise custom made pieces. The advantage of this is that you receive the best advice as to which gem is most suitable for your needs. Whereas if you are just buying from someone who only sells loose diamonds, it is possible to inadvertently buy one which is unsuitable for the purpose you had in mind.
Do you design Wedding rings?
I can arrange for design and manufacture of custom wedding rings. This ranges from making sure the band width, depth and length of stones suits your ring to the design of shaped wedding rings to fit and match the design of your engagement ring.
Do you offer jewellery Valuations?
I am a Registered Valuer and Gemmologist, All pieces of jewellery purchased from Diamond Tree Jewellery come with a Valuation certificate. I can also value most diamond and coloured stone jewellery.
Can you repair my jewellery?
I can organise repairs for most diamond jewellery and some general jewellery.
